Ex-Officio Role of Governor

  • The Governor of Uttarakhand  is also the Chancellor of various Universities in the State and exercises his powers delegated to him under the respective Acts and Statutes of the Universities.
  • The Governor is also ex-officio President of the Indian Red Cross Society (IRCS), Uttarakhand Branch and Uttarakhand State Council for Child Welfare (USCCW).
  • The Governor is the Chairman of the Uttarakhand Sainik Punarvas Sanstha (USPS)
